Broward County Public Schools
The “Art in the Capitol” competition is a statewide visual arts competition that has each school district annually hold an art competition for all students grades 6 through 8 attending public, charter, private schools and home education programs. The "Best of Show " awarded artwork will be submitted to the legislator in the student’s residential region and then transported to Tallahassee to hang in the Capitol Building. We were proud to exhibit this year’s exhibition at the Dillard Center for the Arts Gallery. Congratulations to "Best of Show"- Adrianne Shirley from Pembroke Pines Charter Middle School West; "1st Place"- Ocean Maynard from Parkway Middle School; "Second Place"- Victoria Kats from Hollywood Academy of Arts & Science; "3rd Place"- Vivian Oreilly from Tequesta Trace Middle School. A special thank you to our panel of judges; Kalledra Wilson, Art Instructor, Village Elementary; Jennifer Zangre, Art Instructor, Coral Springs High School.
